What does this tool count?
It counts whitespace-separated words, Unicode-aware characters, characters without whitespace, estimated sentences, meaningful paragraphs, and visible text lines.
Reading and speaking time
These are estimates based on fixed average speeds: 200 words per minute for reading and 130 words per minute for speaking.

How does the Word Counter count words?
Words are counted as non-whitespace text segments, so repeated spaces, tabs, and newlines do not create empty words.
Does it work with Bangla and other languages?
Yes. Characters are counted by Unicode code points, and word boundaries use whitespace rather than an ASCII-only rule.
How is reading time calculated?
Reading time is estimated at 200 words per minute and rounded up to the next minute for longer text.
Are sentences counted perfectly?
No. Sentence counting is an estimate based on common sentence-ending punctuation such as periods, exclamation marks, and question marks.
Does ToolBrio upload my text?
No. Your text is processed locally in your browser and is not uploaded.
